The “NICK” Recreation Center at UW is Covered in Mondo!

The “NICK” or the Nicholas Recreation Center at UW Madison honors the late Albert “Ab” Nicholas, his wife Nancy, and the Nicholas family. This facility is a replacement for the Southeast Recreational Facility (SERF) which closed in 2018. The facility includes eight gymnasiums, more than 30,000 square feet of Mondo designated for fitness activities and a 50-meter pool with a separate diving well. Kiefer USA installed a Mondo Super X recreational walking/jogging track that is elevated above the gymnasium and wraps around. In the weight room and fitness areas we installed Mondo Sport Impact. We also installed turf in the fitness area and a turf training hill for functional training purposes.
